Live Q&A 3 2023: I’m on Vacation & Don’t Have a Barbell - What should I do?
WE TYPICALLY HAVE A PROGRAMMED BARBELL TRAINING ROUTINE THAT IS DESIGNED TO GUIDE US IN ACHIEVING OUR STRENGTH OR POWERLIFTING GOALS. ON OCCASION WE ARE NOT ABLE TO KEEP TO OUR ROUTINE. THERE MIGHT BE MANY REASONS BUT MOST LIKELY IT'S DUE TO TRAVEL WHERE WE ARE NOT ABLE TO ACCESS A GYM.

In almost all instances we don’t recommend skipping the gym altogether. We usually recommend modifying the program and adapting to what equipment, or lack of equipment you have.
THERE IS ALWAYS A SOLUTION TO TRAINING EVEN WITHOUT A BARBELL, RACK AND PLATES:
Use dumbbells, kettlebells, or machines
Increase the number of reps or sets to achieve the intended relative intensity
Add more exercises
Change the tempo of the movements
